A MAKE-UP artist’s son is said to have made a series of chilling threats to his mother before cops claimed he killed her.
Logan Chrisinger, 27, has been charged with the murder of Newsmax staffer Travis Renee Baldwin.
Baldwin, 57, was found with a gunshot wound in an apartment building in Arlington, Virginia, on Sunday, according to cops.
She was rushed to a hospital where she died.
However, in the early hours of Sunday morning, Chrisinger was on a FaceTime call with his mother where he threatened to kill himself, a family source revealed to TMZ.
He reportedly showed his mother his gun during the call.
Baldwin’s brother, John, feared “something was going on” as he revealed details of the early morning call to the Fox affiliate WTTG-TV.
She rushed to be with her son following the FaceTime call.
The source also claimed that Chrisinger threatened his mother before her death.
He allegedly said he would kill her and wished for her to be dead.
Chrisinger reportedly feared he would lose his apartment after losing his job.
Chrisinger was with his mom when cops swooped on the apartment after receiving a dispatch call.
Investigators have not revealed a motive behind the shooting.
But, they have described it as a “domestic-related” homicide.
There has been an outpouring of grief after it emerged that Baldwin was the victim.
The family source described her as a loving mother and someone who “would do anything” for her children.
ANCHORS SHOCK
During her career, Baldwin worked with the Newsmax star Greta Van Susteren, who anchors the show The Record.
Van Susteren, a former Fox News star, paid tribute to the makeup artist on air.
“We are all in shock, we all can’t believe it – none of us can,” she said.
“Renee murdered? She was just here.
“We all keep saying to each other ‘We just talked to her. We just saw. She just did my makeup as usual on Friday for this show.”
Van Susteren admitted she didn’t think Friday would be the last time she would see Baldwin.
“Renee was everyone’s friend, just 100 percent decent, not a mean bone in her body,” the journalist added.
Baldwin was described as a “quiet warrior” by Marisela Ramirez, Newsmax’s White House producer.
And, Amber Duke, the senior editor of the Daily Caller, also paid a warm tribute to her former colleague.
In an X post, Duke described Baldwin as someone who was “kind, generous, and funny.”
Baldwin was Duke’s makeup artist for the past one-and-a-half years.
“She will be dearly missed,” Duke wrote.
Chrisinger has been charged with first degree murder, aggravated malicious wounding, and using a firearm in commission of a felony.
He is being held without bond at the Arlington County Detention Facility.
The investigation is ongoing, according to Arlington cops.
