NJ Hospital nurse claims retaliation for reporting doctor who 'celebrated' Kirk assassination

A nurse from New Jersey has filed a lawsuit claiming she faces termination after she reported a doctor who allegedly “cheered and celebrated” the assassination of Charlie Kirk, according to her attorney. The lawsuit was lodged on Friday.

Lexi Kuenzle, 33, who works at Englewood Health, filed the suit against the hospital, Dr. Matthew Jung, and others for the alleged incident that took place “in front of patients and staff.”

“She had the nerve to question Dr. Jung’s ability to uphold the Hippocratic Oath and the American Medical Association’s Code of Ethics while rejoicing over the murder of a peaceful Christian speaker at a college campus,” asserted Kuenzle’s lawyer, John Coyle, in the lawsuit.

Dr. Jung then allegedly “offered to ‘buy lunch’ for the nursing staff that he offended,” the lawsuit states.

Following her complaint, the nurse claimed she was suspended without pay while an investigation took place.

The suit alleges that the hospital breached the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, retaliated against Kuenzle, violated the Conscientious Employee Protection Act, and fostered a hostile work environment. Kuenzle is requesting a jury trial and is seeking unspecified financial compensation.

As of Sunday morning Dr. Jung was no longer listed on Englewood Health’s website.

The hospital, Kuenzle’s lawyer and Kuenzle did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s inquiries.
