Noah Wyle is shedding light on the contrasting “two different healthcare systems” in the United States, following his recent Golden Globe triumph.

The 54-year-old actor, renowned for his role in the HBO medical drama, shared his insights with the Daily News backstage on Sunday after being honored with the award for Best Actor in a Television Series – Drama.

When questioned about how the show’s success, which also clinched the award for Outstanding Drama Series, might influence perceptions of the American healthcare landscape, the former “ER” star remarked, “There could be another narrative to explore regarding the current state of healthcare in America.”

Wyle, both star and executive producer of the series, elaborated, “We essentially have two healthcare systems: one serving the wealthy and another for those living in certain areas or belonging to specific racial groups. Those who are most vulnerable or severely ill often receive the poorest quality of medical information.”

In the acclaimed series, Wyle takes on the role of Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, navigating the complexities of a divided healthcare system.

“We have one for the affluent and one for people who live in certain areas and have certain colored skin and the people that are getting the sickest, the people that are hurt most are also getting some of the worst medical information.”

Wyle stars as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch on the hit show.

“The Pitt” on Sunday beat out Netflix’s “The Diplomat,” fellow HBO hit “The White Lotus,” and Apple TV+’s “Pluribus,” “Severance,” and “Slow Horses” for Outstanding Drama Series.
