NYC preschool boss embezzled nearly $3M to buy WWE tickets, live like a celebrity: feds

Let her face the parents in the ring!

A Brooklyn preschool director was taken into custody on Wednesday, accused of misappropriating almost $3 million in school fees to fund a lavish lifestyle, including splurging on professional wrestling events and luxurious trips, as detailed in a recent federal indictment.

Murielle Misczak, who leads Kinderhaus Brooklyn located in the Park Slope neighborhood, allegedly used upwards of $350,000 in misappropriated funds to secure tickets to exclusive WWE wrestling events, even flaunting some of these experiences on Instagram, as revealed in the indictment made public on Wednesday.

Misczak is accused of covering up the theft by “manipulating” the school’s internal accounting system to falsely show that the payments had been deposited into the school’s bank account —  then deleted  emails that would have revealed the scheme, according to the indictment. “When [the school] inquired about her lavish lifestyle, [she] falsely claimed that she was the beneficiary of substantial funds from her mother in Basel, Switzerland. Of course, this purported beneficiary was a ruse,” the suit states.

It wasn’t immediately clear how Misczak was eventually busted, but the school’s principal learned about the scheme in October 2025 and  “was forced to use her own personal savings to meet Plaintiff’s payroll and operational obligations,” the suit states.

Misczak was hired by the preschool in 2013 and rose ranks to become director in 2020. It is unclear why she is so enthusiastic about professional wrestling.

She’s charged with wire fraud, money laundering and “Engaging in Monetary Transactions in Criminally Derived Property.”

“My client looks forward to a fair resolution of this matter in court,” Misczak’s lawyer, Lowell Sidney, told The Post Wednesday.
