The recalled item is a kitchen stepper with an issue relating to the safety bar.

The bar may break or detach while the mini-ladder is in use, as stated by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.

More than 300,000 units are included in the recall order, which was announced on July 31.

Consumers are advised to refrain from using the product’s safety bar.

They should put it away, reducing the risk of children becoming injured.

Shoppers should also contact Dorel to receive a free repair kit.

A sliding lock will be included within the kit that should prevent the bar from detaching.

Shoppers will also receive a warning label to stick onto the product.

Two cases of head injuries have been reported after using the Cosco stepper, manufactured in China.

The company has received 34 reports of the safety bar breaking or detaching.

The product was sold at major supermarkets, stores, and online from February 2021 to July 2025 between $56 and $70.

It was sold in a range of colors, including white, green, navy and blue.

Meanwhile, The U.S. Sun has reported how a children’s kitchen toy was recalled over a safety hazard.

Officials warned how plastic hooks can get caught on children’s clothes.

They explained this poses a strangulation hazard to children who are crawling on the kitchen.

In 2023, a child, 23 months, died from strangulation after getting his shirt caught on one of the hooks.

Fragrance diffusers , cookies, and a type of butter have also been recently recalled.

The diffuser was recalled because of the risk that the magnets on the inside of the case could detach.

Shoppers were urged to keep the diffuser away from their children and any pets.

And, an ice cream product was recalled over an undeclared milk product, posing a risk to shoppers who suffer from allergies.
