A significant number of high-ranking commanders from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, along with other regime officials, were reportedly killed during Operation Epic Fury, according to a recent report.
Sources informed Reuters that the United States and Israel launched at least seven missiles targeting the fortified compound of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. This strike resulted in the deaths of several senior officials.
Moreover, Iranian state media, as cited by Reuters, reported that Israeli missile strikes on a school led to the tragic loss of 40 more lives.
In a statement early Saturday morning, President Trump addressed the nation, explaining that the operation aimed to target Iranian leadership. He emphasized that the goal of Operation Epic Fury was to “protect the American people by eliminating imminent threats posed by the Iranian regime.”
It was reported that the 86-year-old Supreme Leader was not present at the compound—or even in Tehran—at the time of the strikes. He has since been relocated to a secure, undisclosed location.
