Pam Bondi Takes Steps to Unseal Epstein Grand Jury Testimony

The document endorsed by Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche indicates that the DOJ and FBI are committed to the conclusions outlined in the Memorandum, emphasizing that transparency with the American public holds paramount importance for the current Administration.

Recognizing the public’s interest in the investigative efforts by the Department of Justice and the FBI concerning Epstein, the Justice Department requests the Court to disclose the underlying grand jury transcripts from United States v. Epstein. This release would be subject to the necessary redactions to protect victim-related and other personal identifying information. The Department pledges to collaborate with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York to ensure these sensitive details are properly redacted before the transcripts are made public. The aim for transparency will not undermine their responsibility under the law to safeguard victims.

The filing noted that despite the DOJ and FBI’s conclusion in their review of Epstein’s death and crimes, public interest has remained.

It went on:

A similar motion was filed in Ghislaine Maxwell’s case.

The filing concluded:

CNN has reported that the decision to release the Grand Jury documents now rests with Federal Judge Richard M. Berman in Manhattan, who was in charge of Epstein’s criminal case before he passed away in 2019.

The filing came after the Wall Street Journal’s “exclusive” report on Thursday involving Trump and Epstein. As my colleague Joe Cunningham reported, the “scoop” involved a “bawdy” birthday card allegedly sent by Trump to Epstein back in 2003 for his 50th birthday.

Trump hit back right away, calling the WSJ report fake news and vowing to sue.

In another Truth Social post on Thursday, he called on Bondi to get the grand jury testimony unsealed.

And as promised, Friday evening, Trump followed through on his threat and filed the lawsuit, as RedState’s Susie Moore reported:
