Police search two NJ runaway teenagers last seen Stamford train station

Authorities are looking for two 14-year-old boys who ran away from New Jersey on Friday and were later seen bolting from MTA officers at a train station in Connecticut, according to a report.

Braydon Morrisey, 14, Dominic Dilberto, 14, and William Connolly, 17, left an undisclosed location in Montville Township late Thursday. The group was spotted at the Denville Train Station early Friday evening, prompting a missing persons search that included K-9 units and drones.

By Saturday, MTA police had taken Connolly into custody at the Stamford train station, but the two younger teens avoided protective custody and ran off.

Montville Township Police Department Chief Andrew Caggiano said there is no indication “that they’re dangerous to themselves or others,” explaining that the response is tied to their ages and missing persons status. “It’s just because of their age, and they were listed as missing persons … we’re just following a missing persons investigation,” he said.

Investigators believe the pair may be moving “farther and farther away from Montville,” Fox News reported.

Morrissey was last seen in white sneakers, dark sweatpants and a green hoodie. Dilberto was last reported wearing all-black clothing.

The Montville Township Police Department is leading the investigation while coordinating closely with MTA authorities in Connecticut.

Police have also remained in contact with the boys’ parents since the teens were reported missing.
