Man with dog caught prowling Nia Long's Hollywood Hills mansion

A man was taken into custody Saturday night after allegedly trespassing at actress Nia Long’s Hollywood Hills home, with his dog also removed from the property by authorities.

Los Angeles police rushed to the Outpost Drive area around 9:40 p.m. following a reported burglary. Dramatic video from the scene showed the suspect near the front door as officers shouted commands for him to surrender.

The man then made his way down the stairs and lay face down on the driveway. Moments later, officers moved in and placed him in handcuffs while his dog was led away on a leash.

Long, who portrays Katherine Jackson in the 2026 Michael Jackson biopic “Michael,” owns the Hollywood Hills residence but does not live there.

Media reports say the home is occupied by Long’s son, Massai Dorsey II, her eldest child with former fiancé and actor Massai Z. Dorsey.

Following the incident, Long’s son was spotted near the driveway, appearing to make phone calls and coordinate with responding officers.

Long first broke through in the 1990s with her role in the acclaimed drama “Boyz n the Hood,” later strengthening her place in pop culture with the cult comedy “Friday.” She went on to become a standout in romantic and ensemble dramas, including “Love Jones” and “Soul Food.”

Her screen career has stretched across film and television, from “The Best Man” to “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” with award-winning work that included her performance on “Third Watch.”
