A man dressed head-to-toe in black allegedly attempted to break into a high-end Hollywood Hills home reportedly linked to filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, but vanished before responding officers arrived.
Police said the suspect was seen making his way into the second floor of the three-story residence in the 7400 block of Woodrow Wilson Drive on Wednesday afternoon.
The alarm was raised by a gardener working at the property, who told authorities he spotted a man believed to be about 35 years old wearing a long-sleeved black top and black pants.
When police reached the Hollywood Hills property, the alleged intruder was already gone.
Officers conducted a search of the mansion but did not locate the suspect.
Authorities have not yet determined whether anything was stolen, and it remains unclear if anyone was inside the home at the time of the reported break-in attempt.
Early reports suggested the mansion may belong to Tarantino, though that detail has not been officially verified.
