PROTESTERS booed a reality TV star as he walked into an investors’ dinner for President Donald Trump’s cryptocurrency venture on Thursday.
Anxious crowds waited outside the president’s golf club in Virginia to see who was invited to the black tie event.
Most of the attendees remain anonymous, but the NBA star was a rare recognizable face that was seen walking in, according to the Daily Beast.
Other notable attendees include Nick Pinto, who is a crypto investor and founder of Ogle, and Justin Sun, who has made billions off the meme coins.
Reports indicate that Sun has emerged as the leading buyer of $TRUMP, accumulating a substantial $312 million from cryptocurrency transactions and earning a total of $43 million in fees, according to The Washington Post.
In response to inquiries about the list of attendees, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized that the dinner coincided with Trump’s “personal time,” thereby withholding further details.
“It is not a White House dinner, it’s not taking place here at the White House,” she told reporters.
