The suspect involved in the shooting at the Dennis M Lynch Arena in Pawtucket has been reported dead, according to WPRI.com.

An employee from a nearby Walgreens recounted to the news outlet that panicked individuals rushed into the store, alerting them of the shooting.

Officials confirmed that the incident at the Dennis M Lynch Arena in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on Monday, February 16, 2026, resulted in multiple injuries.

The employee said they were told to close and evacuate the building. 

It was unclear how many people were shot.
