A$AP Rocky, with whom she has two sons, served as one of the hosts for the night, along with Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, and Coleman Domingo. The rapper officially announced the news to the media at the event after receiving congratulations from reporters.

“It feels amazing, you know,” A$AP Rocky shared with reporters. “It’s time we reveal what we’ve been working on. And I’m thrilled everyone’s happy for us because we’re definitely happy too.”

“Honestly, it’s a blessing nonetheless,” Rocky told the AP. “Because you know how like some people in other situations at times can be envious of other people. But we’ve been seeing love for the most part. And we real receptive to that and appreciate that, you know what I mean? That’s love. Love is love.”

The night’s theme is based on the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s spring exhibit, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” It is the first Met Gala to focus exclusively on Black designers and the first in more than two decades to have a theme on menswear.
