Former Jets quarterback Sam Darnold will be getting his first ring in the near future.

A wedding ring that is.

Darnold, 28, proposed to longtime girlfriend Katie Hoofnagle and the couple is engaged to be married, the pair announced in a post on Instagram.

Hoofnagle captioned the post, “YES!!!!!” along with a carousel of photos of the couple, featuring the moment when the Seahawks QB went down on one knee to propose.

Other photos featured Hoofnagle showing off the ring on the beach and another showed the two embracing in a hug.

Hoofnagle also shared their engagement celebration through a series of Instagram Story posts, which showcased a party with friends and family on the engagement day.

“Realizing….” the caption on one post read, along with a photo of Hoofnagle looking surprised.

The next one revealed a house filled with their friends and family.

“Our house was filled with all the people we love,” the caption read on the slide.

A sign at the celebration indicated that the two got engaged on Saturday, two days before they announced their engagement on social media on Monday.

Darnold and Hoofnagle made their relationship public in 2023, and in an interview with Us Weekly, the QB described her as a stabilizing presence amid the highs and lows of an NFL season.

Hoofnagle played club soccer at the University of South Carolina and she graduated in 2020.

Darnold, who played three seasons with the Jets after being drafted No. 3 overall in 2018, helped lead the Vikings to a 14-3 record and put up a career-high 4,319 passing yards and 35 touchdowns this past season.

He even earned his first Pro Bowl nod of his career.

Darnold signed a three-year, $100.5 million deal in March with the Seahawks, who are hoping he can bring some of that Minnesota magic can make its way with him to the Pacific Northwest.
