'Shark Tank' is back for season 17 with savvy entrepreneurs, guest Sharks and one big element that sets it apart

LOS ANGELES — “Shark Tank” has returned for its 17th season, featuring familiar guest Sharks, astute entrepreneurs, and a distinctive element that sets it apart, as mentioned by Shark Kevin O’Leary.

“This might be one of the most noteworthy seasons in ‘Shark Tank’s history due to the current unique economic climate,” O’Leary shared with On The Red Carpet’s George Pennacchio.

“Entrepreneurs are uncertain about the future, and this unpredictability is leading them to lower expectations, which results in better deals for us,” Robert Herjavec added.

The wheeling and dealing is something guest Sharks Rashaun Williams and Kendra Scott are ready for!

“There’s increased competition, more capable entrepreneurs, and Sharks are better prepared financially, making it a fantastic season,” Williams commented.

“I’m more excited about this season, really, than any other seasons I’ve been on before, so get ready to watch,” added Scott.

Keep an eye out for recognizable faces among the entrepreneurs. The Sharks were pleasantly surprised as actor Pete Davidson appeared in the Tank alongside his business partner Ben Rosenbaum, aiming to strike a deal for their sock company, Doublesoul.

“How’s it going,” Davidson said, greeting the Sharks.

“Much better now!,” said Williams, with a smile.

See how their pitch goes when “Shark Tank” season 17 premieres Wednesday, September 24 on ABC and streams the next day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of this ABC station.
