On Wednesday during “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Fox News, the host shared that six Secret Service agents associated with the assassination attempt on then-presidential candidate Trump by his butler have been “suspended.”
Six Secret Service agents assigned to President Trump during the assassination attempt in Butler, PA have now been suspended.
Given the shocking security failures that day, this is the absolute bare minimum.

Watters highlighted that the announcement comes just before the first anniversary of the incident, which resulted in the death of firefighter Corey Comperatore and left Trump with a minor ear injury after narrowly avoiding a direct hit by turning his head.

The positions of those suspended ranged from supervisory level to line agent level, a source familiar with the agency’s decision told ABC News.

Matt Quinn, Secret Service deputy director, spoke to CBS News and confirmed the suspensions.
He stated, “We can’t solve this issue by simply firing people. We need to address the underlying causes and correct the flaws that led to this predicament.”
“Secret Service is totally accountable for Butler,” Quinn continued. “Butler was an operational failure, and we are focused today on ensuring that it never happens again.”
