Monday promises to be bright and pleasant, with temperatures climbing to a comfortable 70 degrees, according to ABC7 meteorologist Tracy Butler.

Yet, changes are on the horizon as a warm front is set to move into the region by Tuesday. This shift could usher in severe weather, particularly in the late afternoon and evening hours.

While the morning commute will remain dry, the likelihood of rain increases significantly after 2 p.m.

The majority of Chicago, along with its southern and southwestern suburbs, has been classified under a Level 3 risk.

Meanwhile, the northern and northwestern suburbs face a slightly lower Level 2 risk.
