A PREGNANT woman’s body has been found stuffed inside a plastic bin on the side of the road as two men have been arrested.

Police responded to Fort Anthony Road, Ohio, after receiving reports of a foul odor, leading them to discover 28-year-old Brittany Fuhr-Storms inside a sealed storage crate.

Ricky J. Sheppard, 47, was arrested in connection with the incident

Jackson Township police rushed to the scene at around 8pm on August 3 where they were hit by a stench “so bad” they “didn’t want to open” the crate.

An officer told the WHIO: “I didn’t want to open it. The smell was so bad, you know, I mean there’s a difference between dead smells and this is not a normal dead smell.

An autopsy on the woman’s remains then determined she had been pregnant. The child tragically did not survive.

Investigations led cops to Brittany’s last known address in Middletown where two men were subsequently arrested.

These include James R Rothenbusch, 52, who admitted to drug trafficking and stated Brittany died at his home under “suspicious circumstances”.

He also confessed to keeping her body in the home for around four days before it was disposed of.

And Ricky J. Sheppard, 47, who attempted to flee before officers detained him.

Sheppard told police that the victim died from an alleged overdose and she had been in the house for about a week before being removed.

Rothenbusch is facing charges of corrupting another with drugs, tampering with evidence and gross abuse of a corpse.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Chief of Staff Jeremy Roy praised local law enforcement and said: “Everybody dropped everything as they should when you find out that a mother-to-be was just dumped on the side of the road,’ he said.

“You don’t always get that cooperation all the time around the US and in Ohio, but in this case you kind of have to tip your hat.”

News of her shocking death has left residents in disbelief and shaken.

One local told Fox 19: “had no clue something like that was happening right next door.”

While another called it utterly “surprising”.

Police have not yet confirmed the victim’s cause of death.
