Three stabbed at crowded Rhode Island beach as hundreds of teens pack area, police say

On Tuesday, a violent incident at a Rhode Island beach resulted in three people being stabbed as throngs of teenagers crowded the area, prompting beachgoers to hastily evacuate.

Police arrived at Narragansett Town Beach after receiving reports of chaos. They discovered the three injured individuals, who had suffered minor stab wounds. The victims, whose identities have not been disclosed, were transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention, according to the Narragansett Police.

The authorities have yet to identify any suspects or make arrests in connection with the stabbings.

In the aftermath, officials reported additional disturbances as the large crowd tried to exit the beach at once. This situation required the intervention of several law enforcement agencies.

Amid the commotion, two adults were taken into custody and charged with simple assault, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice. Police clarified that these arrests are not believed to be linked to the stabbing incident.

The incident came amid a wave of teen violence across the country. Over the weekend, teenagers in Washington, D.C., got into a chaotic brawl inside a Chipotle restaurant. About eight teens could be seen throwing punches and hurling restaurant furniture at one another as innocent bystanders huddled for safety in a corner of the establishment.

All of the suspects were dressed head-to-toe in black, with some wearing hoods and masks.
