After a long, long wait, there’s a new Aurora Teagarden mystery coming to Hallmark Movies & Mysteries — and it’s so new that the title of this caper is Something New. The newness comes from the franchise’s brand new lead, Skyler Samuels, who plays a younger and less experienced Aurora. It’s 2008, Aurora’s back in Lawrenceton, and she’s about to put all of her true crime studies to work on an actual murder mystery.

Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Something New marks a fresh direction for the venerable mystery franchise, which has entertained fans since its debut in 2015. Not only is there a new Aurora in the mix, we have a new Arthur (played by Evan Roderick) and a new Sally (Kayla Heller). We still have living legend Marilu Henner on board as Aurora’s mom, connecting this new iteration of the beloved series with the original.
