South Park writer-turned-’Cornell 7’ vigilante plans name-and-shame billboards,  mocks ‘trolls’ criticizing him

Toby Morton, a former South Park writer who has styled himself the “Cornell 7” vigilante, says he plans to use billboards to identify seven men accused in a sexual-assault lawsuit involving Cornell University. He also dismissed online critics who have challenged his campaign.

Morton, a satirist, said Monday that he intends to continue his activism surrounding the high-profile Cornell case. He made the comments while posting screenshots of messages from people criticizing his efforts.

One detractor urged Morton to “hold off since [the] DA reopened the case [and] wait for evidence.’’

“As for ‘waiting for evidence,’ that’s adorable,’’ Morton replied. “I’ll continue doing the work, verifying what I publish, and taking all the time necessary to get it right.’’

Morton also referenced a critic who questioned how he could determine whether the woman at the center of the case was telling the truth. In a civil lawsuit filed earlier this month, she alleges that multiple Cornell students sexually assaulted her at a fraternity house in October 2024.

“I’m verifying documents, photographs, timelines and records. You’re typing ‘but what if lady lie?’ into a website contact form,” Morton responded.

On Sunday, Morton launched a website targeting the seven men named in connection with the allegations, as well as people at the prestigious Ivy League university whom he claims helped them avoid accountability. “Accountability is coming,” he warned.

The activist and satirist, who wrote five episodes of Comedy Central’s South Park in the early 2000s, said another critic urged him to “pause on your Cornell website” after an earlier post “went viral and it’s causing a bit of chaos.’’

Here’s the latest on the Cornell frat probe:

Morton said billboards were being planned to publicize his campaign. He added that an “updated” version of the website was expected Tuesday evening.

The seven men have not been charged. The local district attorney said over the weekend that the investigation into the woman’s allegations would be reopened following the lawsuit and what authorities described as additional purported evidence.
