EUFAULA, Ala. (WRBL) — A teenager finds himself in custody following a spree of vehicle thefts that led to police pursuits across two cities.

According to the Eufaula Police Department, on October 31st, 18-year-old Tywon Jackson allegedly stole a car from a gas station located on South Eufaula Avenue. Authorities report that Jackson then drove the stolen vehicle to Montgomery, where a brief police chase took place. Despite the pursuit, Jackson managed to evade capture.

Returning to Eufaula, Jackson was met by local police who anticipated his return. Another chase ensued, culminating when officers deployed spike strips to stop his vehicle. Ironically, his escape ended at the very gas station where the car was originally stolen.

Once apprehended, Jackson reportedly confessed to multiple vehicle thefts and additional criminal activities, as stated by the Eufaula Police Department.

Jackson now faces several charges, including two counts of first-degree theft of property, one count of second-degree theft of property, attempting to elude law enforcement, and reckless endangerment.
