A visitor wearing a Joe Biden mask sparked a police response after stopping at a Texas homeowner’s doorstep for a bizarre banana-eating stunt, prompting authorities to warn that pranks can quickly lead to dangerous confrontations.
Doorbell camera footage shows the unidentified visitor approaching a home in Watauga while wearing a mask resembling the former president. The person also appeared to be wearing a “FREEDOM” T-shirt similar to shirts associated with Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA.
The visitor reached toward the doorbell camera twice, ran their fingers across it and then ate a banana through the mask before leaving the property.

Watauga police told News Outlet that officers were dispatched at about 8:05 p.m. on Oct. 18 after receiving a report of suspicious activity. Officers reviewed the homeowner’s doorbell video at the scene but found no evidence that a crime had occurred.
Officers also searched the nearby neighborhood but were unable to locate the masked individual.

Although the unusual doorstep appearance did not lead to criminal charges, police warned that conduct meant to amuse or provoke can carry serious risks.

“The department also reminds the public that behavior perceived as threatening can lead to dangerous confrontations, potentially resulting in serious injury,” police told News Outlet.
Authorities advised residents to contact police about suspicious or concerning behavior rather than confronting people on their own.
“We also encourage everyone to exercise good judgment and recognize that behavior intended as a joke or prank can sometimes cause unnecessary concern for others,” the department said.

“Based on the available information, our assessment remains unchanged: officers found no evidence that a criminal offense occurred.”
