The Pilsen Neighbors Community Council (PNCC) is thrilled to announce the 53rd annual Fiesta del Sol, marking over five decades of celebrating culture and heritage. This four-day, free-entry festival stands as the largest Latino celebration of its kind in the nation, attracting over 1.3 million attendees. Proceeds from the event fund PNCC’s leadership investments, scholarships, and year-round community initiatives.

Fiesta del Sol features live music, delicious food, children’s activities, and more. Event organizers are excited to offer various exhibitions where guests can gain important insights and advice on key topics.
The 53rd annual Fiesta del Sol is happening this weekend in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood.
“This year’s theme, ‘Protegiendo Nuestras Familias, Defendiendo Nuestros Derechos’ – ‘Protecting our Families, Defending our Rights,’ reflects our commitment to issues such as healthcare, housing, education, social justice, and immigration reform,” said Fiesta Del Sol Co-Chair Juana Medina. “The event honors Latino culture, fostering empowerment and unity within our community, with widespread collaboration from organizations in partnership with the PNCC.”

Additionally, PNCC runs The Guadalupe A. Reyes Scholarship Program, which has distributed more than $1.2 million to students in Southwest Chicago over the past 30 years.

Details of the event are as follows: The 53rd annual Fiesta del Sol takes place from July 31 to August 3 at 1400 W. Cermak Road, between Morgan Street and Ashland Avenue. The event hours include Thursday from 3 to 10 p.m., and Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free.
