AUBURN, Ala. (WRBL) – The 3-year-old boy at the focus of a statewide Amber Alert has been located safely, and the man suspected of murdering the child’s mother and half-sister is now detained.

Aaron Dontay Williams, 41, was apprehended at about 7:15 a.m. Friday by the United States Marshals Service, with support from the FBI and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Williams was taken into custody without incident, and 3-year-old Jibreel Harun was located unharmed.

This arrest follows just one day after Auburn police found the bodies of Tyeisha Williams, 34, and Zynnya Wright, 13, during a welfare check at a home on Samantha Court. Investigators suggest that the two were likely killed within 48 hours before being discovered.

The discovery of the double homicide triggered a statewide Amber Alert for Jibreel, the biological son of Aaron and Tyeisha Williams.

Auburn Assistant Police Chief Michael Harris had earlier described the suspect as armed and dangerous, and a $15,000 reward was offered for information leading to his arrest.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Auburn Police Department Investigations Section at 334-501-3140. I’m
