A Minnesota man is in custody after allegedly shooting two state lawmakers and their spouses, killing two Saturday morning.
Vance Luther Boelter, 57, was captured in Sibley County after a two-day manhunt and now faces state and federal murder charges, among other crimes.
A man faces charges of murdering former Minnesota House Speaker, Democrat Melissa Hortman, and her spouse, Mark, during the early hours of Saturday at their residence in Brooklyn Park, Minneapolis. Allegedly, he also targeted state Senator John Hoffman, likewise a Democrat, and his wife, Yvette, in a connected assault at their home in Champlin nearby.
Authorities with the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office informed Fox News that Boelter “verbally” identified himself to officers who were searching for him in the locale on Sunday evening.
