Andrew Kolvet, a spokesperson for Turning Point USA, urged on Saturday for the dismissal of a professor at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. This professor is said to be associated with a radical gun group connected to several violent incidents targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Dwayne Dixon, who teaches Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the Chapel Hill campus, reportedly belongs to the Silver Valley chapter of Redneck Revolt. This group is linked to the John Brown Gun Club, which has been associated with at least two violent attacks on ICE facilities in Washington and Texas, according to previous reports by Fox News Digital.
Kolvet made this demand publicly on X following the appearance of John Brown Gun Club recruitment flyers at Georgetown University on Wednesday and Thursday. The flyers included the phrase, “Hey fascist! Catch this!” referencing remarks linked to an assassination attempt on Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk on September 10.

Redneck Revolt faced legal action from Charlottesville and local businesses under anti-paramilitary and nuisance laws due to a 2017 rally. Although a judge did not dismiss the case, the group circumvented trial by agreeing to a consent decree, describing the lawsuit as “harassment” and “state repression.”
The organization has also been tied to violent activities, such as a 2019 bombing attempt by member Willem van Spronsen. He was killed during the attack and later hailed as a martyr by antifa activists.
Dixon and UNC did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s requests for comment.
