A tragic accident unfolded on Long Island when a man lost his life after his vehicle disintegrated upon impact, propelling him from the car following a loss of control on the Northern State Parkway, authorities reported.
The victim, identified as 29-year-old Salvatore Sparacino IV, was reportedly driving at high speeds and exhibiting erratic behavior before his 2010 Volkswagen EOS collided near the New Highway overpass in Smithtown around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, officials stated.
Upon arrival, state troopers discovered Sparacino had been ejected from the vehicle, which was found torn in half near exit 46 in the area he called home, according to the police.

Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles or individuals were involved in this unfortunate incident.
