A tragic incident has unfolded in Mexico City where a former beauty queen was discovered shot to death in her own apartment. Local reports suggest that investigators are considering the potential involvement of her mother-in-law in the case.
The victim, 27-year-old Carolina Flores Gómez, was found lifeless in her residence located in the upscale Polanco neighborhood, as per the Mexico-based news source, Reporte Índigo.
Authorities have classified the case as a homicide after preliminary evidence revealed she had sustained a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency services were dispatched to the location, where paramedics confirmed that she had passed away.
In the unfolding investigation, prosecutors are scrutinizing the roles of Flores Gómez’s mother-in-law, Erika María, and a man referred to in reports either as her partner or husband, for their potential involvement in the crime.

Carolina Flores Gómez’s death, which occurred on April 15 in her luxurious Mexico City apartment, has brought attention to her mother-in-law, who is now the primary suspect in this alleged homicide.

The outlet also reported that the woman’s mother-in-law was present at the scene when the gun was fired and that authorities are looking into the timeline of when the incident was reported.
