Fox News contributor Ted Williams appears on ‘Fox & Friends First’ to share updates regarding the recent shooting incident in Tremonton, Utah, where three police officers sustained injuries while handling a domestic disturbance call.

During a response to a domestic disturbance on Sunday night, two Utah officers were fatally shot, and a third suffered injuries, according to authorities.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., two officers from the Tremonton Garland Police Department, along with a deputy from the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office, responded to several 911 hang-up calls at a home close to North Park Elementary School, according to a news release issued by the Brigham City Police Department on Monday morning.

While one officer from the Tremonton Garland Police was speaking with a resident reporting the disturbance, a gunman emerged from the house and began firing, killing the officer. When a fellow officer attempted to assist, the suspect fatally shot him as well.

The Box Elder County deputy, along with his police dog, was shot while still inside his vehicle upon arriving at the location, officials reported. The deputy was transported to the hospital, and his service dog received care at a veterinary clinic. Both are reportedly in stable condition.

Authorities said there is no current threat to the community, though they asked the public to avoid the area on Monday morning.

Randy Kilman, a witness driving home during the incident, recounted to FOX13 Salt Lake City that he observed two police cars and mistakenly thought he was hearing fireworks before realizing a bullet had hit his vehicle.

“I went to go back out, and when I went to back out, I caught a bullet through the driver’s side door and it went out my windshield,” he said. “So I dove-tailed and ran and ran home and called my wife and told her to come outside, make sure I didn’t have no holes in me. It’s pretty freaky.”
