Woman falls to her death aboard Carnival Firenze cruise ship traveling from California to Mexico

A tragic incident occurred aboard a Carnival Cruise ship en route from California to Mexico, resulting in the death of a female passenger who fell from a balcony.

The woman reportedly plummeted from her stateroom balcony onto a deck below.

Passengers on the cruise remain in the dark, awaiting further details about the incident from the cruise line.

Carnival has confirmed the unfortunate event, stating that the guest seemingly went overboard from her stateroom balcony last week.

The journey on the Carnival Firenze commenced on April 26.

The fall was reported at approximately 2 a.m. on April 27, just a few hours after the ship set sail.

In a statement, Carnival said, “The female guest was traveling with family who alerted the ship’s crew of the situation.”

It goes on to say “as is customary, law enforcement was onboard while the ship was in Catalina Island on Monday to collect information. … Carnival’s Care Team is supporting the guest’s family, and our thoughts and prayers are with them and their loved one.”

One passenger says the FBI was among the law enforcement on the ship investigating.

The woman who died in that fall has not been officially identified.

Carnival says her family is off the ship and back home.

It’s unclear if there was any “family dispute” the night she fell.

This was a four-night cruise.
