Tragedy struck in Missouri when an 18-year-old high school senior, recently crowned prom queen, was among three fatalities in a devastating multi-vehicle accident.
Jordyn “Lunar” William, a student at Ritenour High School, was riding with her 53-year-old aunt, Cherese Fisher, in a Lexus when they were struck by another vehicle in Bellefontaine Neighbors on Friday evening.
The impact sent the Lexus into oncoming traffic, where it collided with a Toyota Highlander, causing the SUV to flip over, according to police reports.
Sadly, the crash claimed the lives of Jordyn, her aunt Cherese, and the Toyota’s driver, 26-year-old Andrea Medina.
The vehicle that initiated the collision, a Cadillac, ended up veering off the road and crashing into nearby trees.
Authorities are currently working to identify and locate the driver of the Cadillac involved in the incident.
No details about the missing driver’s age, identity or condition have been released.
The tragedy unfolded soon after the teen won prom queen, First Alert 4 reported.
“It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the news of the passing of one of our students,” Ritenour High School’s assistant superintendent said.
“This is a difficult time for our entire community.”
