Disturbing video shows gruesome subway surfing incident that killed 1 in NYC — as the other gravely injured

A harrowing video obtained by The Post captures the tragic sequence of events in a deadly subway surfing accident in Lower Manhattan.

The footage reveals a 14-year-old boy and his 18-year-old friend riding atop the J train as it sped through Lower Manhattan on Friday. The incident turned fatal when one of them was struck in the head by an overhead beam.

The video shows both individuals plummeting onto the tracks and the ground below.

According to police, the 14-year-old succumbed to his injuries, while the 18-year-old sustained severe injuries.

The younger teen’s death resulted from trauma consistent with a fall.

The older teenager was transported to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.
