A tragic incident unfolded in Houston, Texas, when a father lost his life during a carjacking on Saturday afternoon. A man, on probation for previous offenses, now faces charges of murder in connection with the case.
According to a report from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the victim, identified as 56-year-old Louis Erebia, managed to locate his stolen vehicle and confronted the suspect, London Hogan Sr. The confrontation escalated, resulting in Hogan Sr. allegedly shooting Erebia. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Erebia succumbed to his injuries.
Hogan Sr. also faces accusations of shooting another individual, who is expected to recover from the incident.
The Sheriff’s Office shared with FOX26 that Erebia’s son was refueling their Chevy Silverado when Hogan reportedly brandished a firearm, seizing the truck. Erebia, along with a friend, used GPS to track the stolen vehicle, eventually leading them to its location.
In a tragic turn of events, Erebia’s vehicle collided with the stolen Silverado, rendering it inoperable, as confirmed by deputies.
