President Trump announced on Tuesday that Iran has purportedly confessed to being in a “state of collapse” due to the intense pressure exerted by the United States. According to Trump, Iran is eager to have the Strait of Hormuz reopened.
Since April 13, the U.S. has enforced a comprehensive blockade, effectively preventing Iranian ships from navigating through this vital maritime passage.

In a statement shared on Truth Social, Trump claimed, “Iran has just informed us that they are in a ‘State of Collapse.’ They are requesting us to ‘Open the Hormuz Strait’ as soon as possible, as they attempt to sort out their leadership challenges, which I am confident they will manage!”
Recently, the Trump administration decided to cancel planned direct discussions in Islamabad, Pakistan. This move followed the president’s extension of a ceasefire that has been in effect since April 8.
