Escalator-Gate Continues: Trump Demands Investigation Into Potential 'Triple Sabotage' at the UN

According to a report by Nick Arama from RedState, President Donald Trump experienced multiple technical issues during his visit to the United Nations. The first incident occurred when an escalator suddenly halted as he and First Lady Melania stepped onto it, nearly causing them to fall forward. Then, his teleprompter malfunctioned, and subsequently, the auditorium’s sound system failed, preventing those without earpieces from hearing his speech.

These occurrences appear to be quite the coincidence, particularly in light of previous remarks from U.N. staffers who allegedly joked about stopping escalators and elevators to ensure Trump would have to walk.

Trump isn’t buying that all this was accidental, and he wants answers, posting on social media that he is demanding an immediate investigation:

Trump made it clear that he thought mischief was afoot, and he wants to get to the bottom of what he calls “triple sabotage.”

“A REAL DISGRACE took place at the United Nations yesterday — Not one, not two, but three very sinister events!,” Trump remarked on his social media, announcing he was forwarding a letter to U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres.

“Initially, the escalator leading to the Main Speaking Floor came to an abrupt stop. It stopped instantly. It’s astonishing that Melania and I didn’t plunge forward onto the sharp edges of these steel steps. Holding tightly to the handrail was what prevented a disaster,” he wrote.

The mainstream media, including ABC News, responded with skepticism, characterizing Trump’s comments as mere “complaining.” Considering that the U.S. contributes approximately $13 billion annually to the United Nations, Trump was justified in his concerns—one would expect critical equipment like teleprompters and escalators to function properly during such important visits.

After complaining about a second issue — how his teleprompter didn’t work for the first 15 minutes of his address — he claimed the audio in the General Assembly Hall has been turned off.

He had plenty to complain about, snidesters at ABC.  He noted that Melania couldn’t even hear her own husband address the world body:

“And third, after making the Speech, I was told that the sound was completely off in the Auditorium where the Speech was made, that World Leaders, unless they used the interpreters’ earpieces, couldn’t hear a thing,” he wrote. “The first person I saw at the conclusion of the Speech was Melania, who was sitting right up front. I said, “How did I do?” And she said, “I couldn’t hear a word you said.” This wasn’t a coincidence, this was triple sabotage at the UN. They ought to be ashamed of themselves.”

The White House announced Wednesday that the Secret Service is looking into the questionable mishaps. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told Jesse Watters on Fox News that she agreed with Trump that she finds the whole thing fishy:

First it was the escalator, then it was the teleprompter, and then the audio inside the room was much lower and different for the president than for the previous speakers… when you put all this together, it doesn’t look like a coincidence.

I won’t speculate on exactly what happened… I’ll just note that that’s an awful lot of things going wrong all at once. You be the judge.

Editor’s Note: President Trump is leading America into the “Golden Age” as Democrats try desperately to stop it.
