President Donald Trump endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday, throwing his support behind the longtime leader just days before Israel’s election.
Netanyahu’s party is facing a closely contested race, but Trump described him as the strongest partner for the United States in confronting Iran. He also urged Israeli voters to turn out and back the prime minister.
“Bibi Netanyahu has been a Great Warrior Prime Minister, and an even greater Partner for Peace in combatting the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. He referred to Iran’s decades-old slogan, “Death to Israel, Death to America! We will destroy the Little Satan and the Big Satan.”
Trump argued that allowing such threats to be made could eventually lead to them being carried out. “What Country can survive when things such as this are allowed to be said, because eventually, they always end up being true?” he wrote, adding that Iran had been “systematically destroyed” militarily and financially. Unless Tehran changes course quickly, he said, “we will soon finish the job.”

“Normal men or women in such situations would have wilted under the pressure — But Bibi did not wilt, he actually got stronger, and maintains that same Strength today,” Trump wrote, recalling Netanyahu’s leadership during what he described as some of the most difficult periods of his career.
Trump concluded by saying Israel needed a partner of Netanyahu’s strength and issued his “Complete and Total Endorsement” of the prime minister’s bid for re-election. “BIBI NETANYAHU WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!” he wrote.
