Trump to head to Walter Reed for

Washington — President Trump is scheduled to visit the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Tuesday for his annual dental and medical evaluations, according to the White House.

The White House outlined that the visit, announced on May 11, will consist of routine dental and medical check-ups as part of the president’s regular preventative healthcare regimen. During his time at the facility, he will also engage with service members and staff.

This upcoming appointment follows a previous visit to Walter Reed in October, which the White House characterized as both a routine yearly checkup and a follow-up examination. This October visit took place six months after his annual physical in April 2025. Prior to the October checkup, President Trump referred to it as a “sort of semi-annual physical.”

The White House disclosed on May 2 that the president had attended a scheduled dental appointment with his local dentist in Florida. The reasons for his annual dental examinations remain unspecified.

In July, the White House revealed that the president is dealing with chronic venous insufficiency, a common venous condition that affects the veins in the legs, impeding efficient blood flow back to the heart. According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, while this condition is not considered a serious health risk, it can be painful and disabling. However, an examination found no signs of more serious issues like deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease, and the president is reported to be in excellent overall health.

Though the president has access to medical care at the White House, Walter Reed is typically chosen for more comprehensive examinations.

Mr. Trump turns 80 next month.
