US surgeon performs world's first 'remote' surgery — from 4K miles across the Atlantic

In a pioneering advancement for medical science, doctors from the United States and the United Kingdom have successfully conducted the first-ever remote-controlled surgery. This remarkable achievement is being celebrated as a revolutionary step forward in the medical field.

In Dundee, Scotland, surgeons at a local hospital employed robotic technology to extract a blood clot from a human cadaver. This procedure was performed remotely, with the cadaver situated at a university facility elsewhere in the city.

Just hours later, more than 4,000 miles away in Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Ricardo Hanel utilized the same cutting-edge technology to continue the operation on the same cadaver.
