“Officials from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, along with the Boston field office of Enforcement and Removal Operations, arrested Gratien Milandou Wamba, a 32-year-old citizen of Congo who was living in the U.S. illegally,” stated ICE Spokesperson James Covington, explaining that the arrest was linked to his attempt to illegally purchase a firearm.
ICE stressed its commitment to continue enforcement actions throughout New England, collaborating with other federal entities to locate and capture individuals breaching U.S. immigration laws, particularly those in critical public safety roles.
