President Trump revealed on Truth Social that the U.S. and Iran have nearly finalized an agreement. His statement followed reports that both nations were in discussions to establish a ceasefire.
Trump stated, “An Agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries, as listed.”

He highlighted that among the agreement’s multiple components, the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened. This strategic waterway is critical for global oil transportation.
Trump mentioned having a “very good call” with leaders from Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, signaling regional involvement and support.
Additionally, he reported holding a separate conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing it as a productive discussion.
