With the release of the second installment of episodes from its concluding season, “Stranger Things” is nearing its ultimate episode. Here’s a guide to the schedule and episode durations.

WASHINGTON — The latest set of episodes for the final season of “Stranger Things” dropped on Christmas Day, leaving only the series finale to anticipate.

Episodes 5, 6, and 7 were made available on Christmas night, continuing the narrative from the initial four episodes that debuted on November 26. This trio of episodes sets the stage for the show’s concluding chapter.

The much-anticipated series finale of “Stranger Things” is set to premiere on New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, December 31. Fortunately, fans won’t have to stay up until midnight to catch it.

In a groundbreaking move, viewers have several ways to enjoy the series finale. The last episode, aptly named “The Rightside Up,” will debut simultaneously on Netflix and in over 350 cinemas across the United States and Canada. The premiere is scheduled for December 31 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, with screenings extending until January 1, 2026.

What time does the “Stranger Things” finale come out?

The series finale of “Stanger Things” arrives on New Year’s Eve on Wednesday, Dec. 31. But don’t worry, you won’t have to wait until midnight for the episode to drop.  

For the first time ever, fans have multiple options to experience the series finale. The final episode, titled “The Rightside Up,” will premiere simultaneously on Netflix and in more than 350 theaters across the United States and Canada on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, with screenings continuing through Jan. 1, 2026. 

The series finale runs about 2 hours and eight minutes, according to the Duffer Brothers, who created the show.

On Monday, the Duffer Brothers shared the final runtimes for the last half of the final season. 

Here’s the breakdown of the last four episodes of the series: 

  • Episode 5 “Shock Jock”: 1hr 8min
  • Episode 6 “Escape From Camazotz”: 1hr 15min
  • Episode 7 “The Bridge”: 1hr 6min
  • Episode 8 “The Rightside Up”: 2hr 8 min
