Philadelphia’s community is feeling anxious following a series of sexual assaults that have targeted women in a luxury neighborhood, prompting law enforcement to act swiftly in locating the perpetrator before another incident occurs.
Within the upscale Rittenhouse Square area, five sexual assaults were recorded between July 18 and August 3. The majority of these incidents happened during late-night or early-morning hours, as reported by the Philadelphia Police Department.
“A striking aspect of this case is how similar all five attacks were,” explained Carole Lieberman, M.D., a board-certified psychiatrist, in a discussion with Fox News Digital. “The attacker consistently used the same method of operation, which involved approaching the woman from behind and then groping her.”
“It’s risky for women to be out alone after dark, regardless of the location,” Lieberman stated. “Although some areas pose a higher danger, venturing out alone in the dark always involves taking a risk.”
