CHICAGO (WLS) — In a recent development, investigators have unveiled an updated sketch of a suspect involved in a sexual assault case that took place in a dense woodland area on Chicago’s Northwest Side.
According to the Forest Preserves of Cook County police, the incident occurred Saturday afternoon at LaBagh Woods around 12:30 p.m.

The alleged assailant, whose age remains unknown, reportedly targeted a 29-year-old woman in an off-trail area situated roughly 500 feet from the parking lot on the eastern side of the preserve.
The victim was transported to Swedish Covenant Hospital and has since been discharged.
Authorities describe the suspect as approximately 6 feet tall, sporting a long brown and blond beard that extends to his chest. At the time, he was seen wearing a dark shirt, black beanie, dark sunglasses, and a black jacket with a red stripe on the shoulder.
This Tuesday, police have shared a newly updated sketch to aid the investigation.

Forest Preserves police, the Chicago Police Department, and Cook County sheriff’s police have been canvassing the area as part of the investigation. Forest Preserves police have also increased car, ATV, and bicycle patrols in the area.
Police asked anyone with information to call 911. Authorities did not immediately provide further information.
