Texas Governor Greg Abbott has called for the removal of a student from Texas State University following an incident caught on video. The video shows the student seemingly simulating the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk during a memorial event on campus organized by a local Turning Point USA chapter.
The footage, recorded at the university’s San Marcos location, depicts a man carrying a backpack. He appears to shout profanities at the gathering, gesture to his neck, and act as if he’s been shot.
Following this, the individual stands before a statue, proclaims, “Hi, my name is Charlie Kirk,” and continues to imitate being assassinated, collapsing to the ground in mockery of the deceased 31-year-old father of two.

It is unclear if the unidentified man is a student at the university. (Provided to Fox News Digital)
Camryn Giselle Booker was also filmed loudly addressing students near the university’s Student Union Building, yelling, “F— y’all homie dead, he got shot in the head.”
Booker was charged with misdemeanor assault, according to a spokesperson for the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office.
Texas Tech confirmed Booker is no longer enrolled at the university, according to a report from affiliate FOX 4 News.
