Viewpoint School Teacher Arrested for Misconduct: Community Calls for Action

The school informed parents through a statement that a faculty member had been dismissed due to “inappropriate behavior that occurred on campus,” clarifying that the misconduct did not involve any physical contact.

Authorities at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station refrained from sharing specific details, citing the involvement of minors in the case.

According to his Facebook profile, Shojinaga had been part of the Viewpoint School community for over a decade.

In a letter addressed to parents, Viewpoint Head of School Mark McKee stated, “Upon learning of the allegations, our Administrators and the Campus Safety and Security team promptly initiated an investigation and informed the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s Lost Hills Station.”

“The employee was subsequently taken into custody, and his employment has been terminated.”

The academy added that it was working with law enforcement and would conduct its own investigation with an outside party.

Alumni of the Viewpoint School include President Trump’s youngest daughter, Tiffany, and former NBA player Miye Oni.

In his statement, McKee offered counseling to students and encouraged them to come forward if they had any concerns.

“We understand this situation is deeply upsetting. We will be making resources, including counseling, available for anyone in our community who may need support. We are doing everything we can to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment for our students and the broader Viewpoint community,” he wrote.
