LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — Dan Quinn, the Washington Commanders’ coach, was wiping blood from his face while heading to the locker room at halftime on Sunday after being accidentally barreled over on the sideline by quarterback Marcus Mariota.
In the last moments of the second quarter, during Washington’s matchup against the visiting Las Vegas Raiders, Mariota was pushed out of bounds at the conclusion of a 4-yard run.
He knocked into Quinn, who fell backward and slammed his head on the ground.

Quinn, bleeding from cuts on the bridge of his nose, was cleaned off with a towel by Mariota. Additionally, linebacker Bobby Wagner was seen assisting by dabbing Quinn’s nose with a towel.
Soon after, Matt Gay made a 56-yard field goal on the last play of the first half to give the Commanders a 20-10 lead at the break.
Mariota is playing Sunday in place of Jayden Daniels, who is out with an injured left knee.
