Hulu has just unveiled the trailer for the uproarious film “Pizza Movie,” marking Gaten Matarazzo’s first major project since bidding farewell to his role in the final season of “Stranger Things.” The trailer promises a comedic whirlwind that is sure to entertain.
In this new comedy, Matarazzo steps into the shoes of Jack, a college student eager to embrace the excitement of campus life. “We’re in college, Monty. These are supposed to be the best years of our lives. I just want to have a fun night for once,” Jack declares to his friend, setting the stage for an adventurous evening.
The plot takes a turn when comedian Sarah Sherman introduces the duo to an experimental drug known as Mints. Initially dismissing them as ineffective, Jack and Monty soon find themselves engulfed by a monstrous adventure once the Mints kick in, leading to a riotous escapade.
The pair learns that pizza is the key to managing their bizarre hallucinations, prompting a pizza-fueled quest. However, what seems like a simple mission becomes hilariously complicated with unexpected obstacles, including exploding heads and other absurd challenges.
Joining Matarazzo in this comedic caper are Sean Giambrone, Lulu Wilson, Jack Martin, Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Marcus Scribner, Caleb Hearon, Justin Cooley, Kevin Matthew Reyes, Adam Herschman, and Lucas Zelnick, rounding out a talented ensemble cast.
Adding to the film’s creative force, Matarazzo takes on the role of executive producer, while the directorial duo of Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher bring this zany story to life.
