CHICAGO (WLS) — At least 19 people have been shot, two fatally, in shootings across Chicago this weekend, police said.

Four men were injured in a South Side shooting on Friday night, Chicago police said.

Police said officers responded to a report of people shot in the Englewood neighborhood’s 6600-block of South Halsted Street just after 9:30 p.m.

Police officers who responded to the scene discovered a 38-year-old man lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was reported as critical.

In the same incident, another man, aged 49, managed to reach the hospital on his own. He had been shot in the leg and was treated at the same facility, where his condition was described as stable.

The officers later visited St. Bernard Hospital, where they found two additional shooting victims. These men, aged 35 and 36, each suffered gunshot wounds to their legs. They were both in stable condition.

No one was in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.

A woman was found shot to death on Chicago’s Northwest Side early Saturday morning, police said.

Police officers were called to the 1700 block of North Kimball Avenue in Humboldt Park near Logan Square around 2:45 a.m., where they found a 26-year-old woman who was unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head.

The victim was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

No one is in custody, and Area Five detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.

Saturday night, a teenage boy was shot to death on the city’s South Side, Chicago police said.

The shooting incident took place in the 11300 block of South Carpenter Street in the Morgan Park neighborhood around 7:15 p.m. A 17-year-old boy standing on the sidewalk was shot in the chest by someone firing from a blue sedan.

The victim was rushed to Christ Hospital in critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified him as Ian Williams.

The sedan’s driver fled northbound on Carpenter Street.

There is one in custody, and Area Two detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
