White House On Whether Trump Trusts His Physicians Following Biden’s Cancer Diagnosis

During a White House Press Briefing on Monday, Peter Doocy, the Senior White House correspondent for Fox News, posed a question, “It seems White House doctors might have overlooked the initial signs of prostate cancer in President Biden. Is President Trump concerned about the healthcare quality that presidents receive here?”

“As for President Trump, he has no such concerns,” Leavitt replied. “The White House physician is exceptional, and the team of doctors attending to the president, especially those at Walter Reed Medical Center, is outstanding.”

“The president had his physical recently, as you know, he had, perfect results,” she added. “He’s in very good shape. I think those of you who traveled to the Middle East with us last week can attest to the president’s endurance. And by the way, I will add, we returned home from a very long and tiring trip last week, and on Saturday, where was the president? In the Oval Office, working all day. He doesn’t stop. He doesn’t quit. He’s in great health and he trusts his physicians.”

On Sunday, it was announced that Biden has been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. The cancer has metastasized to his bones:

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,” read a statement released by the president’s personal office. “On Friday he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”

“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” the statement continued. “The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

Following the announcement, President Trump and Melania offered their sympathy to Biden and his family, with a post on Truth Social. On Monday, Trump once again talked about the “very sad” news, but said the “aggressive” cancer diagnosis brings up a lot of questions.

“I’m surprised that … you know, the public wasn’t notified a long time ago because to get to stage nine (sic), that’s a long time,” Trump said. “I just had my physical. … We had the doctors at the White House and over at Walter Reed, which is a fantastic hospital. I did a very complete physical, including cognitive tests.”

Several doctors have since spoken out about the diagnosis, bringing up concerns about the timing, stating that this form of cancer would’ve been monitored “for some time before this diagnosis,” RedState reported.

One top urologist, Dr. David Samadi, spoke to Megyn Kelly about Joe Biden’s shocking, aggressive prostate cancer diagnosis, and noted one part in the announcement that puts the timing into question.

During the Sirius XM “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast, Kelly asked about comments made by oncologist Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, who said on “Morning Joe” that Biden’s form of cancer doesn’t just “develop in the last 100, 200 days.”

Dr. Samadi not only agreed with Dr. Ezekiel that it likely wasn’t just discovered, but said the comment in Biden’s cancer statement, about it being “hormone sensitive,” proves the diagnosis can’t be new, RedState reported.
